If you are one
of the 140 million Americans that must rely on glasses or contacts to drive,
see the TV, or participate in sports--vision correction may be the solution
to enhance your life. Today's advanced technology is excellent for most
levels of nearsightedness, astigmatism, farsightedness, and helps with presbyopia.
FDA approved an exciting, state-of-the-art laser vision analyzing technology...it's called Wavefront or Wavefront Custom LASIK.
This is the same technology used on the Hubble telescope to view distant objects
in space.
Wavefront Custom LASIK
provides:
- Detection of Unique Imperfections Never Seen Before
- Custom Mapping (like your “fingerprint” or
DNA) of Your Vision
- Greater Precision Analysis for
- More Precise Treatments
We now can provide our patients that are within the wavefront prescription
range, a Wavefront Custom
analysis for each of our refractive procedures: LASIK, Advanced Surface Treatment,
AK, and Clear Lens Exchange. (Please note that the refractive treatments have
not changed, it is the diagnostic information that has improved.)
Over 5 million people can tell you why they've had vision correction...it
works!
"I can't describe the feeling I had the first time I was able to see without
glasses or contacts. Unbelievable, indescribable, a miracle! For those who aren't
sure about the procedure - GO for it - YOU'RE WORTH IT!"
Connie Martin
"This procedure is a miracle! I am one of five members in my family
that have had laser vision correction by Parris-Castoro Eye & Laser Center."
--Daniel Keyser of Virginia
"I have rarely seen an organization that operates at the level of professionalism
that I experienced at Parris-Castoro Eye & Laser Center. I feel very fortunate
to have chosen Parris-Castoro to place my trust in with such an important decision"
Ronald Howell, Bel Air, MD
Typical patients
achieve 20/40 or better and are driving, working, and playing sports the very
next day. Patients commonly state they experienced no pain or discomfort.

State-of-the-art-technology: At Parris-Castoro, our highly trained and certified laser surgical team utilizes two of the most advanced excimer laser systems, the VISX Star S4 and the Nidek EC 5000.
Corrective Errors Laser Vision Correction Cannot Correct: LASIK and other vision correction procedures improve distance vision and do not improve a condition known as Presbyopia (weak reading vision). Presbyopia is an age related reduction in the ability to focus on near objects. This change occurs slowly and generally begins around age 40. Presbyopia will continue to gradually worsen until around age 65.
